I love Paulo Coehlo's novels. At one point I had read all his books, and would love to reread any of them since I read them so long ago. There are a few new ones that I have not read (I think). The Alchemist is my favorite and probably his most noted work.
So- how about this: Read the Alchemist the novel. THEN Read the Alchemist the Graphic novel. It would be neat to compare the two. See how each are similar/different. See if they are moving/powerful in different or similar ways.

Paulo Coehlo was name-checked in Oscar Wao. Should we read one of his? (I have never read him)
